APPLICATION:

Liquid chlorine is used in metallurgy for metal degasification and purification (cleansing of primary metals from admixtures); in chemical industry for production of ion-exchange resins, chlorobutyl rubber, cyan chloride and sodium hypochlorite; in pulp and paper industry for pulp bleaching; for disinfection and sterilization of potable water.

PACKING:

Special tank-cars for chlorine meeting the requirements of the Rules of Construction and Safe Operation for pressure vessels.

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE:

Transported by special tank-cars standing the pressure and equipped with shadow housing in conformity with the Rules of Transportation of Hazardous Cargoes. The guaranteed shelf life is one year from the date of manufacturing.

SPECIAL PROPERTIES:

Liquid chlorine belongs to highly hazardous substances. Produces irritating and suffocating effect. Liquid chlorine is non-combustible, is a strong oxidizing agent, it sustains combustion of many organic substances and is fire hazardous in case of contact with combustible substances. Forms explosive mixtures with hydrogen. Storage of tank-cars with liquid chlorine together with organic substances, powders, metals, combustible liquids and gases is not allowed.
